Summer Reading Club is Here!

School's almost out for the summer, and the library has summer reading club programs and events in store for pre-school through teen readers. Four simple steps will get preschool read-to-me and elementary and secondary school age readers prizes this summer:

1. Borrow books from Mount Clemens Public Library.
2. Write the number of pages you read from each book by the title on your due date receipt.
3. Add total of pages read at bottom of receipt.
4. Bring your receipt back for prizes each time you return books.

Preschool children will receive a prize for every 5 picture books read to them. Kindergarten through second grade readers will receive a prize for every 150 pages read. Third grade through high school readers will receive a prize for every 250 pages read. The best times to get prizes are: Monday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. and Tuesday and Thursday from 1 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. We are looking forward to serving your family this summer! Check the Library Events Calendar for summer programs each Tuesday from June 19 through July 17 at 2 p.m. and ending on Thursday, July 26 with a puppet show, "Jock and the Beanstalk" presented by Nancy Penvose.
