Got Too Much Stuff?

The arrival of spring turns our thoughts to spring cleaning. If you're looking around the house and thinking that you've got too much stuff, here are some ideas:

Read a book for suggestions on how to conduct a successful garage or yard sale, or how to auction your items on eBay:
  • Garage Sale Mania: How to Hold a Profitable Garage, Yard or Tag Sale / Chris H. Stevenson (658.87 STE)

  • Complete Idiot's Guide to eBay / Lissa McGrath (658.87 MCG)

    • Recycle old cell phones through the library. We participate in the Cell Phones For Soldiers program, so you can donate your old, used cell phones by dropping them off at the check-out desk any time during regular library hours.

Check out some books for ideas on how to better organize and store your stuff. Some examples are:
    • Organize Your Garage in No Time / Barry Izsak (648.8 IZS)

    • Organizing Magic: 40 Days to a Well-Ordered Home and Life / Sandra Felton (640 FEL)

    • Making Room: Finding Space in Unexpected Places / Wendy A. Jordan (747 JOR)

    • Pack up those used books and donate them to the library! We'll use them in the library collection if they are needed, and if not, we'll place them in our annual used book sale. Donations may be dropped off at the library check-out desk any time during regular library hours.
