Library Closed For Holiday Weekend

The library will be CLOSED from Saturday, May 29 through Monday, May 31 for the Memorial Day holiday weekend. Regular library hours will resume on Tuesday, June 1 at 9:00 a.m. While we are closed, outdoor drop boxes will be available for return of library materials near the north (parking lot) entrance to the building, and these drop boxes will be emptied by library staff during the holiday weekend.

The library's electronic resources will be available 24/7 from our web site. These resources include our online library catalog, calendar of events, databases, media download center, and digital media archive. Access these services any time by visiting our web site.

Digital Summer Newsletter is Now Available

Mount Clemens Public Library has just published its first digital-only summer newsletter, available online by clicking here. We won't be printing and mailing this edition of our newsletter as we normally do, but we will continue to print our fall and winter newsletters as we have in the past.

You are invited to take a lot at our summer newsletter and learn about all of the things that will be going on at the library during the summer months, including Summer Reading Club events, an art exhibit, our annual used book sale, and more!

Flags Lowered in Honor of Fallen Police Officer

The library's flags are flying at half-staff today in honor of Detroit police officer Brian Huff, who was killed in the line of duty on May 3.

Huff, 42, was killed Monday while responding to a call about gunshots in a vacant home on the 20200 block of Schoenherr in Detroit. Four other officers were injured. Huff is is survived by his wife, Melissa, and a 10-year-old son, Blair.
