Detroit Free Press Digital Archive Now Available

We are pleased to announce that the Detroit Free Press online archive is now available for use in the library. Covering the years 1831 to 1922, ProQuest Historical Newspapers Detroit Free Press is a subscription database that is keyword searchable and features digitized images of the newspaper, including advertisements. This database is an outstanding resource for genealogical data as well as for all topics related to the history of Michigan. The database is available for use in the library only, and cannot be accessed remotely.

In addition to this digital file, the library also offers the Detroit Free Press on microfilm for the years 1955 to 2008, and the Detroit News for the years 1939 to 2008.

what about the years between 1922 and the present? I'm specifically looking for 1944 to 1970.
