Learn to Make a Cigar Box Purse

You can be fashionable and learn a new craft at the same time by attending the next program in our craft series, entitled "Cigar Box Purses." Reusing and reclaiming objects for art projects is earth-friendly, fun, and very much in vogue, so join us on Wednesday, February 11 at 6:30 to try your hand at this wearable craft! Elizabeth Kincaid-White has debuted an exhibit of purses at the Detroit Institute of Arts and is willing to teach her tricks of the trade. There is an $8 supply fee, and each participant should bring a special photograph or meaningful embellishment to use as a decoration. Space in the program is limited, so registration is required. Click here to register online, or telephone the library at 586-469-6200.
